I’m Steve Leary. Leary Films is my photography and filmmaking, based in the Brainerd Lakes Area of Minnesota.
For about ten years I produced sports at KARE 11 in Minneapolis. The job was deciding which moments mattered, then shaping them into a story people wanted to watch, usually against a deadline.
That’s still how I work. Now I’m the one holding the camera: football and hockey, the athletes who make the big moments, and the wildlife and landscapes I find when I’m not at a game.
